Drama
The NWSS Drama Department is pleased to present opportunities for students to engage in and learn about the performing arts. A focus is placed on characterization, movement, vocal expression, improvisation and believability so that the fundamentals for stage acting are acknowledged. We encourage our young thespians to apply their understanding of these skills when performing monologues, duologues, melodramas, abstract movement pieces, radio plays, Shakespeare scenes and one-act plays. NWSS drama students will perform original works created in class and also rehearse to present published scripts. Senior students will experience a professional theatre experience when performing on the Massey Theatre stage. Join us for an exploration of self and an opportunity to pursue your passion.
