We are proud of our diversity and that is reflected in an array of educational programs and services as we strive to meet the needs of all learners and backgrounds. Grade 12 Parent Information Night – Nov 3rd 6pm

NWSS will be hosting a Grade 12 Parent Information Session on Tuesday, November 3rd. The session will begin at 6:00pm and will be presented through MS Teams. The purpose of the session is to review important grad information, including graduation requirements, post-secondary applications, transcripts, scholarship and bursary applications, and grad-related events. We will be sending out the MS Teams link soon and will also be posting it here on the school website... more

Every Child Matters – Orange Shirt Day on Wednesday, Sept. 30th

Reconciliation Week is happening at NWSS which means that students are encouraged to wear an orange shirt on Wednesday, September 30th.

The importance of wearing an orange shirt is to remember and honour the Indigenous children who were sent to residential schools. It is to demonstrate that everyone can unite in the spirit of reconciliation and that "Every Child Matters".

Terry Fox Coin Drive 2020 Sept 22 and 23 – Celebrating the 40th Year of Marathon of Hope

In the spirit of Terry's tenacity and dedication, NWSS will continue with a "contact-less" Coin Drive.
Collection from Grade 9 classes will be during Block B on Tuesday, September 22nd.
Collection from Grade 10 - 12 classes will be during Block A on Wednesday, September 23rd.

Donation envelopes will be available in Block B classes.

The virtual Terry Fox Run is taking place on Sunday, September 20th.
