Library Learning Commons

NWSS Library aims to advance students’ academic success and promote literacy in all its dimensions. We enjoy our large and varied clientele and strive to provide outstanding serves and resources that support school and extracurricular life. Students are welcome to borrow novels, magazines, non-fiction books, and graphic novels in English and French during opening hours of 8:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Monday to Friday.

Digital Resources

Please visit our extensive digital resources through our website at www.nwsslibrary.ca. These online databases and encyclopedias allow research and academic study via credible sources 24/7. Passwords for the databases are available in the library, from teachers, or by emailing and providing name and student number.

Library Events and Highlights

We continue to implement new technological innovations so that students can be ever more creative in how they express their learning. Our library also plays a role in advocating for social justice and providing a safe haven inclusive of all. Our Global Issues Week attracts some 1,500 students, while our Movie clubs, author visits and library-sponsored clubs and activities make NWSS a vibrant and dynamic space.

NWSS teacher-librarians are Mrs. Wethered and Ms. Chang.  We look forward to your questions and feedback.
