Revised Curriculum and Exams

Students graduating in the 2018-2019 school year are required to complete course work and the associated Provincial Exam for English 12 or Communications 12. Students can continue to access samples, vocabulary, specifications  and assessment materials on the Ministry of Education website.

As the curriculum changes, the existing Provincial Exams will be phased out and replaced by a Literacy Exam that will be introduced in the 2019-2020 school year.

For students who are not graduating this year, they can expect to take English Studies 12  and may choose some of the elective English Language Arts options in their senior years.
